Today it is freezing outside (6 degrees). I am so thankful for shelter and heat. There are many who are not as lucky as I.

Today, today when it is 11 degrees outside, I am just so thankful for my wam, cozy house that I have to protect me from the raging cold!!!!!

I really am thankful for our kitty, Lucky, who makes me mad at times but makes me smile at other times. Who is a bit finicky, but loveable and who makes Bob so happy being the animal lover he is!!

Oh no!!! here i go fallling behind again. I think I need to put this on my 'to do' list so I remember.

For people who give compliments....because they just make you feel so good!

I'm thinking of the Congresswoman who was shot, only 10 blocks from Becky and Eric's home. I pray that she continues on the road to recovery and I am oh so grateful Becky and/or Eric were not around when this tragedy happened.

This one may seem a bit far fetched but it is what I have thought about today and been thankful for.
Thank you to those who have shared their talents so that if we don't live together or close to friends and family, we may stay connected with some sort of communication. Can you imagine what it would be like without telephones, iPhones, iPads and such?

I am so grateful that my guardian angel helped me to make it home safely last night from Romeo. The roads were snow covered and slippery making for a scary commute. Thank you for watching over me.

I am so grateful that Mike is at least being a bit more reasonable about the bypass surgery needed. Small steps.....and prayers.

and I'm thankful that my husband attends church with me weekly. That means a lot to me.

I'm thankful for my church and my pastor who puts things in perspective for me:)

Today in church I saw a man that I've known for years and had his son in preschool when I worked at St. Marys. Unfortunately, Gary has MS and is in a wheelchair and has been for a long time now. His spirit seems good and obivously he gets around with the aid of his wheelchair. When I saw him, I smiled to myself because it was good to see him. But I'm so grateful for my arms and legs and my health. The fact that I'm able to bend down or run after something. Some of the things that we take for granted at times and seem like nothing are some of the things others don't have or aren't capable of doing and would give the world to have back. Thank you for all that I have.

The fact that I'm retired !!!! I Love not having to put up with the hassel of an everyday job and all that goes with it. I love the fact that I can do what I want, need to do. I guess I want to add to that the fact I've had the ability to work which belive it or not has helped me to become wiser:)

For the memories I have of growing up with a mom and dad who cared:)

I'm thankful for the snow that falls so gently to the ground and turns everything white:) It is beautiful!!

I look back at the holidays and I say "thank you" for the time I had to spend with family and friends.
